Welcome

The Flower Pot
(252) 218-4352

Dear Valued Customer,

On April 27, 2007, my dream for as long as I can remember became a reality and the doors of The Flower Pot opened. The dreams I had dreamed all changed on May 13, 2007, just 16 days after opening. I experienced a fall that changed my life forever; I broke my right leg and had 15 fractures in my ankle. After days in the hospital, I came out with many screws and plates and a wedding to arrange flowers for in 2 days. Several months passed that I spend working in my jazzy wheelchair. Through physical therapy and patience that God had given me during the past few months (and he surely knew that I didn't have any before my fall), I walked again in August 2007.

My initiation of being a new business owner was difficult in many ways, but wonderful as well and having you as my customer has meant everything to me. To know that someone thought my ideas and concepts of what Wilson needed in a Florist and Garden Boutique was great and supported my new venture! My business continues to grow with new retail and florist customers and wedding dates being booked for 2009. One of the biggest lessons I have learned since April 27, 2007 is this is my business and if I want it to be successful I need to be there 24/7 and I use to think before my accident that I was that person but now I have physical limitations with my ankle that vary daily. I learned many important things during my initiation and recovery period; one being that your life can change in a second, good or bad. My family at home, Clark and Abby, are so precious to me as well as my mom and dad that need me so much more than ever and I want the ability to spend time with them as much as I can. There has been so much time lost with my brother and his family and with all the Norville's; I can't wait to make up the lost time. My true friends, even with time lost, know that they are in my heart. Most important I believe that we have choices in this life especially with faith in God and His guidance.

On November 28, 2008 at 9:00, all merchandise in The Flower Pot will be 25% off exclusive to customers who receive this letter which is everyone who made purchases at The Flower Pot since its opening. On December 31, 2008 at 5:30, The Flower Pot will close its storefront doors but don't be alarmed, all of you loyal floral patrons. I had to make a choice between the retail or florist portion of The Flower Pot and my love is the design work and responses I get from all the people who love what I do with flowers. I will no longer have a store front location, but I will still be taking daily flower orders by the same number which will remain in the local phone books and also private consultations and appointments will be available. I will carry all of the unique flowers that I have carried in the past. Flowers for all occasions will remain the same: weddings, funerals, birthdays, Valentines, special events and just because as well as delivery available to meet your needs. A new service available will be wedding coordinating/planning to assist the bride in planning her special day. Monogramming is also a big part of The Flower Pot so just call to place your order and we will set up arrangements to get your items picked up and delivered back to you.
I hope that I shared with you as my customer and friend my reasons for this decision and I thank you for your continued support since the opening of The Flower Pot. I look forward in the future to providing you with all of your unique floral needs. Enclosed is a new business card for you.

Sincerely,
Amy Norville, Owner
